Out and About in LA: Malibu Creek State Park

Los Angeles is spoiled with the nature that is around them. Most only think of it as a major metropolitan city where films are made. However, if you take a little drive out in any direction you will see how many natural wonders is around. One such place is out in the major beach city of Malibu in the aptly named Malibu Creek State Park. Along with my friend, Michael Bollweg, both of us decided to hike the major hiking trail which took us two and a half hours and eight miles to accomplished. Along the way we also saw a major landmark in television history. But I will let you see that for yourself in the highlights below.

Out and About in LA: The Valley 

Earlier last week I went on the Pacific Coast Highway. Stay tuned for that later in the year. But for now I wanted to show the detour I made to get back home. I went through the Santa Monica Mountains and saw some GORGEOUS views. It’s a bit of a tricky road what with big cliffs and countless, twisty turns. But if you are comfortable traveling up these roads on Rt. 23 I highly recommend doing so. Also, you will see houses/farms in some of these pics. My apologies if I was breaking any sort of trespassing rules as that was not my intent. But to be fair: I am jealous of anyone living up here. Maybe I found my retirement home.
